She loves Science and English and is involved in her school and community. Elizabeth has been a member of the swim team since age four, and is a member of varsity track and volleyball. She is the secretary/treasurer of the Student Council and the school newspaper co-editor. Elizabeth is also active in her church youth group.

Elizabeth plans on pursuing her education at the University of South Dakota. She is going to major in Biology and minor in Chemistry with a pre-medical emphasis. Elizabeth is going to continue swimming in college, and is thrilled that she is going to be a USD Coyote. After college, she plans on attending medical school to become a Pediatrician.

An avid swimmer, Elizabeth has also been teaching swimming lessons for three years. This past summer she taught seventy-five children how to swim all by herself. She enjoys their energy and excitement, and always laughs when she has to explain to children that there are no sharks in the swimming pool.

Elizabeth’s favorite quote is, “Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice.” She encourages other teens to make good decisions, always be themselves, and to always project a positive attitude. Elizabeth’s sister Alex was Miss Teen USA 2006.
