What are some subsitutions for hunting with beagles?

   LOTS of exercise. Bringing him to a dog park and/or daily walks. If you have woods near your house you could just bring him out to the woods with a long lead to let him put his nose to work in whatever situation he pleases.

   Dock jumping
   Obedience
   Rally O
   Field trials
   etc.

   As long as a beagle has another dog to play with that is all he will need. I have owned beagles for 12 years and have never hunted with them. I just let them run in my yard together or I walk them on a leash.

   Hide and seek treats, toys, people etc.
