That will depend on the state you plan to hunt in. Indiana has a minimum draw weight of 35 pounds and must use broadheads for large (white tail deer) game.

It depends what state your in but your looking at 35-40 most likely… try to exercise your back so you can shoot 50-60 pound.

It will depend on your state, so you need to check the DNR hunting regulations for your state. In Ohio, the minimum draw weight is 40 lbs.

As others have stated, it depends on the state you live in. In my state of Louisiana, the minimum draw weight is 30 lbs.You would have to make a perfect lung shot, and use a cut on contact 2 blade broadhead to be successful.

To be humane about it, I would try to get into atleast 45 – 50 pounds. A good sharp broad head. And #1 – be able to shoot accurate all the time.

I am a girl and I shoot a Mathews Ignition. It is a youth/women’s bow. The minimum draw weight here in Oklahoma is 40 pounds.
